Holly Gallagher

CFP®, AIF®

A Traverse City native, Holly is a well-known financial professional in northern Michigan. Her focus is to provide comprehensive retirement planning and ongoing wealth management to her clients. Her passion, expertise, and commitment have allowed her to build meaningful long-term relationships with clients, as well as with their families and other members of their wealth management team. Because Holly is independent, her recommendations are truly objective, and her loyalty is to her client, not to a particular product or firm.

Holly has had many articles published in area publications, such as the Traverse City Business News and Traverse Magazine. She specializes in working with clients nearing retirement, referrals from current clients, local CPAs and attorneys, and people relocating to northern Michigan. Holly holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Central Michigan University. She worked for two Fortune 500 companies before opening her own firm in 1999. She has served clients in financial planning for almost 25 years. She lives on a 100-acre farm with her husband, Doug, and their children, Madison and Douglas.

Craig Prescott

Director of Client Services and Operations

As director of client services and operations, Craig works in tandem with Holly and her clients. He has more than 14 years’ experience in customer service and management. His attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to prioritize his workload make him a true asset to Horizon Financial.

Craig is married to his lovely wife Sandra and has one son Jase. In addition to excelling in his career, Craig enjoys playing softball, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Liz Durling

Administrative Assistant

Liz brings to Horizon Financial exceptional interpersonal skills and a true desire to help Holly and Craig maintain outstanding client services and support. She is the friendly voice that will most likely greet clients when they call the firm.

For 25 years, Liz has provided high-level administrative support in financial, vertical market technology and legal environments. As executive assistant to a senior vice president of finance, she mastered the finer points of office administration and management, while upholding strict confidentiality.

A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Georgia State University, Liz has continually honed her computer and internet research skills as required for new duties and projects. She lives near beautiful South Torch Lake with her her husband Charlie and three daughters, Claire, Katie and Brooke.
